Derrick Linear Motion Machines

Derrick Linear Motion machines have a long history of performing in trash screening and wet scalping applications. They are designed for high volumetric capacity when fed dilute slurry with a low percentage of oversize solids. This performance characteristic is achieved by the use of Derrick Vibrators rotating in opposite directions creating high gforce, true linear motion causing forward, uphill conveyance of solids out of the fluid pool that forms near the feed end of the machine. Head or pressure from the liquid pool enhances the fluid throughput through the screen panels. The high gforce acceleration and uphill movement of the solids promotes the production of an Oversize fraction that is consistently stackable and conveyable.

Derrickâs commitment to pioneering technology has resulted in the recent evolution of dry screening technology to include dry sizing machines designed to utilize true linear motion to achieve higher capacity with small floor footprints, to include dry sizing machines that utilize an alternate paralleltoflow screen panel tensioning system (âFronttoBackâ tensioning) to achieve higher capacity within the traditional Derrick machine footprint and to include a new series of Derrick Polyweb® urethane screen panels to provide long life, antiblinding surfaces. The absence of contact between device components and tested material allows to use the Ecophyspribor Density meters for control vessels filled with: corrosive, abrasive, aggressive, toxic, biohazardous materials; molted and cryogenic materials; foams, suspensions, slurries, powders, pulps, charges. Temperature and pressure inside the vessel can be of any value.
